Hidden poverty in Beijing
China's urban areas are growing faster than any place in the world, visitors in Beijing often remark on its lack of slums. But Beijing does have slums, I managed to visit these slums and interviewed with the slum dwellers.
Their stories offer an important perspective about the dark side of urbanization in mainland China. This report got a reporting award in Ming Pao.

In the summer of 2009, Wu Wenguang and his team began a documentary project to record the events that took place between the "3-year famine" from 1959 to 1961. Until now this project has over 100 participants going back to their villages with more than 1,000 interviewees coming from 19 provinces in China.
